Herbal Medicine (Kampo)

Kampo is a practical and pragmatic system of Japanese herbal medicine that has been used for centuries to treat a wide range of conditions. As a Kampo practitioner I use a variety of small, simple, and well understood herbal formulas to treat my clients. Single herbs are never prescribed alone. Instead, intricate and balanced combinations of herbs are used to create effective formulae.

My practice is deeply shaped by my connection to my heritage and culture. I was raised in a home filled with herbal curiosities, post-dinner acupressure and tuina sessions, Taiji with my father, food as medicine, and age old Chinese medicinal principles from my mother. Growing up (third culture) has allowed me to bridge the connection between my cultural roots and modern sensibilities. With a background in the culinary world as a pastry chef, the threads of service and nourishing those around me extend deeply into my practice.

My customized offerings include acupuncture, cupping therapy, tuina massage, functional and therapeutic movement, nutritional recommendations, gua sha, and moxa, working on a range of conditions from MSK (musculoskeletal), digestive, menstrual, stress, anxiety, fatigue, and more!

I am committed to ensuring a safe environment where agency and patient participation is integral to each session, allowing space for your body to shift in its own intelligence. My practice is grounded in compassionate listening, rallying the wisdom of your body, and healing the nervous system. I hope to be a support to your life-long journey of health.

I hold a student class registration with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO) and am expected to receive my R.Ac license in late 2025. As a recent graduate of of the Acupuncture Diploma program at Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine Academy, I will be working in tandem with Daniel Adler (T’agyol) as my supervisor.

Outside my practice, I enjoy hikes and rally training with my fiesty Corgi, elaborate kitchen endeavours, and moving my body through yoga and pilates.

Let’s collaborate in wellness!
